Brandon Spikes, who spent four seasons with the New England Patriots after being drafted by Bill Belichick & Co. in the second round of the 2010 NFL Draft, isn’t holding back his strong feelings about his former team now that he’s a member of the Buffalo Bills.
The linebacker, who signed a deal with Buffalo as a free agent last month, took to Twitter on Wednesday to throw some jabs at his former squad and their fans.
it's icing on my cake to hand the #Patriots two big L's this year. #justwatch

But the haymaker came here, when Spikes linked playing for the Patriots to being a slave:
4 years a slave

I mean, everyone knows Bill Belichick is strict and often-times cold-blooded, but slavery? Really? Maybe someone should remind Spikes he made $3.21 million during his tenure in New England. That’s not exactly the compensation too many slaves were used to back in the day…
The Bills probably wish they included a “no tweeting” clause in that contract they gave Spikes this offseason.
