The Cincinnati Bengals missed out on the postseason last year largely due to the season-ending wrist injury suffered by star quarterback Joe Burrow. But on Monday, the team got some great news that indicates Burrow should be fully ready for the start of the 2024-25 season.

When he has been on the field, Burrow has been as good as any quarterback in football. Just look at the 2022-23 season where he threw for nearly 4,500 passing yards to go along with 35 touchdowns and only 12 interceptions.

But unfortunately, injuries have been a part of the story when it comes to Joe Burrow’s career. A season-ending ACL injury derailed his rookie season, and then the wrist injury brought an end to his fourth year in the NFL this past season.

If there is a saving grace in his latest injury, it is perhaps that the injury was suffered early enough in the season that it doesn’t look like it will derail his start for the 2024-25 season. In fact, Burrow was seen on the practice field throwing on Monday for the first day of Phase Two of OTAs.

This is obviously tremendous news for the Bengals as they look to regroup from a disappointing year without their star quarterback for much of the season. And naturally, many fans were quite excited to see Burrow back on the field slinging the football around like very few can.

If the Bengals can get a full season with Joe Burrow under center, chances are the Bengals will certainly be a team to watch as a contender in the AFC.
