Aaron Donald either pulled off the most believable April Fool’s joke out there or, he’s a madman.
On Sunday, a video emerged of the Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle doing some offseason drills. Immediately, you’ll notice instead of going up against fully-geared opposition, Donald sparred with a dude with kitchen knives.
Uh, is @AaronDonald97 the best defensive player in the league because he trains against actual knives? 😮 (via @2_10ths) https://t.co/3PgJAjqBUk

The 26-year-old is a beast, earning four straight Pro Bowl trips and being named the AP NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2017. However, all the accolades don’t mean he needs to train like this.
I’m inclined to believe this was all planned out and was some sort of April Fool’s joke. There’s no way the Rams would let their star player train in such a dangerous way, right? Even if Sean McVay is an innovative millennial.
Regardless, Donald is a badass and should be feared by opposing defenses. This training video just further proves that.
