Grace and athleticism are components of a great slam dunk, unfortunately for Wichita State forward Cleanthony Early he lacked them in the 2014 Final Four slam dunk contest on Thursday. Cleanthony was attempting, I reiterate, “attempting” to jump over his fellow skills competition participants. It didn’t work out as planned. Early launched from just inside the free throw line but his foot hit someone and it completely made him lose his balance. Early crashed to the floor headfirst and nearly decapitated himself. Cleanthony laughed off almost ending his own life.
