The Boston College Eagles won their fifth straight Beanpot Championship in Boston on Monday night, defeating the Northeastern Huskies by a final score of 4-1. The final score is a bit deceiving, however, as BC ripped off three goals late in the third period to accomplish the five-peat.
The game-winning goal came off the stick of Patrick Brown, who was able to redirect a shot from the point past the Huskies goaltender while falling down in front of the net. The goal put the Eagles up 2-1 late in the game and was incredible play on a big stage by BC’s senior captain
