A college track meet between the teams from Oregon, Kentucky and Washington met over the weekend, where this hilarious finish went down in the steeplechase race.
A runner from Oregon thought he had the victory locked up as he headed down the home stretch, but his premature celebration ended up costing him and his team the race, as one of Washington’s racers kicked it into a higher gear and juuuuust managed to win by a nose.
As you can imagine, the kid from Oregon couldn’t believe what had happened and seemed quite devastated that his boneheaded celebration backfired. I’d say there’s a pretty good chance he never tries to pull that crap again.
