This is a pretty special video from a vigil held for Lacey Holsworth on Michigan State’s campus Wednesday night. Holsworth, the 8-year-old cancer patient who befriended the Spartans’ Adreian Payne and became beloved among the MSU community, passed away this week just days after returning home from cheering on Michigan State at the NCAA tournament.
After visiting Lacey’s parents, Spartans coach Tom Izzo made an appearance at the vigil to sign a rock tribute to Holsworth and speak to the crowd about her significance and impact on the MSU community. It was a moving and emotional speech and one that’s definitely worth watching.
