Kansas really isn’t known as a football school. And now we know there’s a pretty good reason why.
The Jayhawks were down 41-38 against South Dakota Saturday with the clock winding down. Lucky for them, they were slowly making their way into field goal territory. With seven seconds left and Kansas at the 35-yard line, the squad tried to spike the ball. Makes sense. Unlucky for them, the Jayhawks are incapable of making the simplest of football plays.
The ball was fumbled on the exchange, and the time on the clock slowly dwindled down to nothing. Surely a frustrating moment, but at least they took the early lead for saddest football play of the year.
