Joe Paterno, the former head coach of Penn State’s football program, is reportedly very close to death. Sources say that Joe has been taken off his respirator and family members and close friends have been summoned to the hospital at State College to pay their last respects.
Paterno had been diagnosed with lung cancer on Novemebr 18. This was just days after he was fired from Penn State for playing a role in Jerry Sandusky scandal.
Paterno was at the helm at Penn State for 45 years, serving from 1966 to 2011. He holds the all-time NCAA Div. I record with 409 wins.
