College basketball fans (and fans of legitimate basketball shots, in general) did a collective “WTF???” on Thursday night after referees waived of Colorado Buffaloes guard Sabatino Chen’s three-point buzzer beater. Chen’s deep ball would have knocked off the previously undefeated Arizona Wildcats. Replay rules allow for referees to review all shots as time expires, and multiple camera angles seemed to indicate Chen got the ball off in time. However, there’s one camera angle ESPN didn’t show the audience. This explains everything.
