Cal State Fullerton’s Austin Kingsolver only got two plate appearances in Sunday’s game against Arizona State, and he probably wishes that he could have skipped the first one. In his first at-bat in the seventh inning, Kingsolver took a 3-2 slider from Arizona State pitcher Josh McAlister straight to the family jewels, or the “midsection” according to the much more mature play-by-play announcer. Thank goodness Kingsolver was wearing his trusty cup, otherwise there would certainly be no Kingsolver, Jr’s in the near future.
