The D’Angelo Russell saga which has played out over the past week looks like it is only gaining steam.
The issue at hand is that D’Angelo Russell posted a SnapChat story (which was downloaded by a gossip website) featuring teammate Nick Young talking about how he cheated on his girlfriend. The clip quickly went viral and a story posted by ESPN cited how the Lakers players basically have isolated Russell since the incident happened. The Lakers definitely didn’t need any more drama this season, but that isn’t happening now.
The latest, and very random, athlete to chime in on the situation is Arizona Cardinals’ Tyrann Mathieu who took to Twitter to call out Russell. He did so using one of the oddest uses of name-calling we have ever seen.
