Tim Duncan….for THREE on @espn! #NBARapidReplay http://t.co/a1epb2awT2

Last night, Tim Duncan hit a three-pointer. It was magnificent.
Now, it’s not as if Duncan forced anything with the shot. He was in the corner and he was passed the ball with about five seconds left on the shot clock so the decision to let it rip was understandable.
Still, when one considers that Duncan is in the midst of playing his 18th season and he’s only made 30 three pointers over that time-span, it’s certainly a rarity to see Duncan put into that position at all.
As it turns out, the Duncan may have had extra motivation to stray out towards the three point line (rather than, say, cutting towards the basket), according to Tim’s girlfriend Vanessa Macias.

Yes, Tim Duncan may have taken that three-pointer as a part of a $100 bet. Someone, please get Gregg Popovich’s reaction to all of this as I’m sure it will be priceless.
