The worst-kept secret in the NBA the last two weeks has swirled around Oklahoma City’s pursuit of Billy Donovan, the Florida head coach whose name shot to the top of the candidate list as a replacement for the recently fired Scott Brooks. Today, Yahoo’s Adrian Wojnarowski broke the news that Donovan is set to sign a 5-year deal to become the new head coach of the Thunder.

Donovan had previously flirted with the NBA in 2007, when he accepted a head coaching gig with the Orlando Magic, before reneging after an introductory press conference and returning to Florida.
