Nike’s latest ad is the best tribute to Kobe Bryant you’ll see as his career comes to an end Wednesday.
Most non-Lakers fans likely have hated Kobe at one point or another. After all, it’s hard not to hate a guy who destroys your favorite team day in and day out. But anyone who knows anything about Kobe’s personality knows that his competitive nature feeds off of the hate.
That’s what Nike’s tribute ad is all about. Whether you loved or hated Kobe throughout his legendary 20-year run, it’s time to embrace a career that truly was a privilege to watch.
