According to Yahoo Sports, Vinny Del Negro is out as head coach of the Los Angeles Clippers. Vinny led the Clippers to the Playoffs this season, but were bounced out by the Memphis Grizzlies and fans had been calling for a change for quite some time.
Vinny Del Negro’s contract as the Clippers skipper was set to expire this month. He was hired in 2010 and signed a 2 year deal with an option for a 3rd season. Del Negro was 32-50 in his first season, 40-26 in his second and finished 56-26 this year. Between finding a new coach and doing what they can to get Chris Paul to return to the team, the Clippers have their offseason schedule really filling up.
