Earlier this month, the Atlanta Hawks excitedly announced that they will be celebrating “T.R.U. to Atlanta” night on March 27th.
The night is essentially a 2 Chainz concert with some Hawks-Heat basketball acting as intermission.
2 Chainz will perform three times throughout the night, beginning with a pregame show which will lead into a special version of player introductions with Hawks PA Announcer Ryan Cameron. Chainz will return to the court for a halftime performance, setting the stage for an extended postgame concert following the final buzzer.
The Hawks will also be selling special 2 Chainz-themed Hawks merchandise and they’ll be handing out 5,000 copies of the rapper’s latest mixtape – T.R.U. Jack City.”
In preparation for the TRU extravaganza, the Hawks even released a video showcasing 2 Chainz taking over the position of Hawks CEO for the day. It’s Part 1 of 2. This looks like it’s going to be a night to remember.
