The well-oiled machine that is the Oklahoma City Thunder came to a screeching halt Friday, after Thunder beat writer Darnell Mayberry reported that point guard Russell Westbrook underwent surgery to address recent swelling in his knee. The surgery will keep Westbrook sidelined until at least after the All-Star break. Westbrook suffered a torn meniscus last spring, which caused him to miss the remainder of the playoffs and the beginning of the 2013-14 regular season.
Russell Westbrook underwent scope surgery on his knee today to address recent swelling. He’s expected back post All-Star break. More coming.
