Pacers center Roy Hibbert’s biggest fault after game 6 was taking all the positive momentum that his team had going into game 7 and rerouting the attention to the distraction of his idiotic press conference.
In the presser, Hibbert stated:
“I really felt that I let Paul [George] down in terms of having his back, when LeBron was scoring in the post or getting to the paint because he stretched me out so much, no homo,” Hibbert said.
He has received backlash for the homophobic remark. After apologizing, Hibbert felt the need to reach out to Jason Collins, the league’s only openly gay active player via twitter:
