During Wednesday night’s game between the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Oklahoma City Thunder, T-Wolves point guard Ricky Rubio dished out what should have been a very crafty assist if it weren’t for teammate Lou Amundson’s awful layup attempt.
Late in the fourth quarter, Rubio split two Thunder defenders at the three-point line with a creative behind-the-back-through-the-legs bounce pass that required only a simple turnaround layup from teammate Lou Amundson. Amundson, however, did what you expect to see from a 48-year-old white guy at the YMCA – he threw it off the side of the backboard, totally blowing the top 10 play.
Missed layup aside, it was still a pretty dish from Rubio.
