Reports surfaced earlier today that the New York Knicks and Amar’e Stoudemire have finally ended their wildly unsuccessful experiment together. Amar’e chose to confirm those reports on his Instagram in a rather creative way.
Amar’e bid adieu to New York City through a picture of himself in a Knicks uniform and a heartfelt quote of his stating that the Big Apple will always have a place in his heart.

As a caption to the post, Amar’e also took the time to write a poem where he waxed poetic about his experiences being a Knick. It’s very sweet (small spelling error aside).
Poem by: Amar’e Stoudemire
NY NY what a beautiful city
A place where you can hang out with Anna, JayZ & DiddyIts a place absent of excuses and patience
If your smart, you can meet leaders of every nationNY NY big city of dreams
Everything in NY isnt always what it seemsIn the land where the jungle is concrete
The money flows Dow Jones and Wall StreetHome of #STATcity and the #Knickstape Orginator,
Shalom to all my fans, Salute to all my haters.Peace and Love
Amar’e Carsares Stoudemire Sr.
Take heart Amar’e. On the bright side, you don’t have to be associated with the New York Knicks anymore. Enjoy a nice red wine baths and relax.
