It was announced last month that Pierre The Pelican – the New Orleans Pelicans official mascot- would be getting a makeover midway through the season because, frankly, he was scaring the children.
Well, it appears that Pierre has undergone successful reconstructive surgery and is ready to debut his new, kid-friendly look before the NBA All-Star Game hits The Big Easy this month.
A detailed account of Pierre’s injury and recovery will air during the Fox Sports New Orleans broadcast on Wednesday, Feb. 12 when the Pelicans take on the Milwaukee Bucks.
