Here’s an auction for the sneakerhead, NBA fanatic and lover of famous illnesses. The Air Jordans that Michael Jordan wore during the legendary “Flu Game” in the 1997 NBA Finals will be auctioned off. In this epic Game 5 his Airness fought through a horrid bout of food poisoning that struck Jordan with a debilitating 103-degree fever. Jordan willed his team to a victory by pouring in 38 points, seven rebounds and five assists in 44 grueling minutes.
The sneakers are being sold by the ballboy who was working that game and was able to even get the Air Jordans signed by MJ. Grey Flannel Auctions has the iconic shoes available for bidding on Nov. 18.
