The Cleveland-Chicago series got past chippy when Matthew Dellavedova leg-locked Taj Gibson, and the Bulls forward retaliated by kicking him. The players seem like they genuinely dislike each other, pretty much the norm for two teams trying to reach the Eastern Conference Finals.
Nikola Mirotic continued the rough housing by clotheslining Iman Shumpert with five minutes left in the second quarter. The move was in retaliation for Shumpert fouling Jimmy Butler the previous possession. Mirotic was, surprisingly, not thrown out of the game, and was assessed a flagrant one. The Cavaliers did, however, go on a 17-4 run after after the clothesline.
