In case you’re wondering how bad things have gotten for the 3-9 New York Knicks, look no further than this sad photo that was uploaded to the team’s Facebook page Monday morning, recognizing Amar’e Stoudemire for his 12-point performance in a 98-89 loss to the Washington Wizards over the weekend. What’s odd is that the Knicks would choose to highlight Amar’e over, say, Carmelo Anthony, who put up 23 points and 12 rebounds. But, again, this is the Knicks we’re talking about.
In Amar’e’s defense, he did shoot 5-for-5 from the field, which is just about the only thing that’s gone perfectly for the Knicks this season. I suppose that’s reason enough to celebrate.
