Star Wars: The Last Jedi is days away from hitting theaters, but something tells us Lakers point guard Lonzo Ball won’t be among those lining up to see it.
During Lakers practice, the theme for the iconic science fiction series came on while Lonzo was shooting. His response? “Is this a real song,” and “but there’s no words.”
Lonzo: Is this a real song?
Shaw: It’s the theme to Star Wars.
Lonzo: I know but there’s no words?
Shaw: (Shakes his head.) pic.twitter.com/vObexuI9ZG— Arash Markazi (@ArashMarkazi) December 11, 2017
It’s not all that surprising Lonzo isn’t a mega Star Wars fan since he’s too busy focusing on basketball and the Big Baller Brand. But, openly wondering if John Williams’ classic composition has words is hilarious.
Let this be a learning opportunity for Ball – watch (or listen to the music of) Star Wars. That way, the next time it comes on the loudspeaker, you’ll be informed enough not to make your coaches old. Plus, the new Star Wars movies are really good! Jump on the bandwagon Lonzo!
