If you read that headline and immediately thought “Yes! The NBA finally suspended Joey Crawford!” then we have some bad news for you: Joey Crawford isn’t in trouble. He’s just going to be out of commission for awhile with sprained knee. Crawford suffered the injury during a recent Clippers-Mavericks game, and appeared to be in tremendous pain as he hobbled over to the sideline. He reportedly needed assistance walking to the locker room, and didn’t return to the game. He hasn’t worked since, either. According to Bleacher Report’s Fred Katz, Crawford is going to be re-evaluated on Monday, but could be out at least a month to recover.
NBA official Joey Crawford has a right knee sprain. Hopeful he will only be out a month. He’ll be reevaluated Monday.

So, congratulations, NBA players, on your month-long (or more) reprieve from the tyranny of Joey Crawford.
