It’s pretty well-documented that Gregg Popovich is the grumpy but often hilarious grandpa of NBA coaches, and last night he submitted another highlight to his “Classic Pop” bank of moments.
During a timeout in the action in the Spurs’ triple-overtime loss to the Grizzlies, Popovich had some fun with San Antonio’s team mascot – creatively named “The Coyote” – by casually pulling his tail and getting on with his night.
Never change, Pop.
