The San Antonio Spurs faced off against the Houston Rockets in yet another meaningless preseason game Thursday night. Except this one was broadcast nationally on TNT, which only means one thing: Gregg Popovich had to participate in a totally unnecessary mid-half interview, conducted by regular Coach Pop punching bag, Craig Sager (because America wouldn’t have it any other way, of course). At least Sager got the last word this time, giving Pop props for being in mid-season form.
Also, stellar work by Pop and his own “preseason” version of Allen Iverson’s famous “Practice” speech.
