There have been plenty of the “member of the military surprises family member” videos through the years, but this one does an amazing job of humanizing a star athlete. Former Illinois basketball player (and now Portland Trail Blazers rookie) Meyers Leonard got a special surprise in March when his brother, a serving member of the US Marine Corps, surprised him by showing up before a game.
It’s not a new video, but why not start the weekend with some good karma. If you watch it and don’t tear up just a little, you truly have a heart of stone.
