Rockets forward Josh Smith returned to Atlanta for the third time this season on Tuesday night, including the preseason, but for the first time with Houston. Unsurprisingly, the former Hawks player continued to receive unwelcoming boos and was subjected to numerous hecklers for most of the evening.
Smith’s team would wind up dropping a big road game when Atlanta proceeded to demolish the Rockets with a monster fourth quarter but the veteran still appeared to have some fun. No, it’s highly unlikely that Smith actually cared more about hushing the crowd than winning the game but he was very intent on quieting his former fans. Two of those attempts came after he made two second half 3-pointers.
