The good thing about the NBA offseason is that it gives the NBA’s stars the opportunity to make some great ads, like this Foot Locker commercial starring Damian Lillard and Andrew Wiggins.
The concept of the ad centers around Damian Lillard teaching Andrew Wiggins about the importance of always evolving but the real treat of the spot is seeing Jimmy Kimmel (as “Bobby Butter”) sport a soul patch while busting out the best basketball trash talk this side of Larry Bird:
“I’m like mayonnaise because I’m smooth but dangerous to leave open.”
Foot Locker, please make Bobby Butter a recurring character in all future ad campaigns. The world could always use more boasts like “My crossover is dirtier than a coal miner’s loofah.”
