The Chinese Basketball Association Finals are going down right now between the Liaoning Flying Leopards and Beijing Ducks. You may be familiar with the Ducks, as their roster features former NBA point guard Stephon Marbury, who led the team to CBA titles in 2012 and 2014. You’re probably a lot less familiar with the Flying Leopards, whose roster boasts two American players: former North Carolina baller Deon Thompson and reigning CBA MVP Lester Hudson.
The Leopards’ front line is anchored by Han Dejun (aka, Chinese Shaq), a 7’1″, 300-pound behemoth who used his 11-inch height advantage over Marbury to dunk on him late in Game 4 of the series on Tuesday night. After a bit of excessive celebrating, Marbury proceeded to put the finishing touches on a 36-point performance, scoring a layup over Dejunas to help seal a 111-110 win to even up the series at two games apiece.
This has been your CBA Finals update for 2015.
