On Wednesday, the Boston Celtics were getting ready to play against the Indiana Pacers when Kelly Olynyk took an elbow to his eye.
The injury left Olynyk with a face that is best described as “jacked up.”
So yeah, in case you thought anyone was exaggerating.

The “bump” was the accidental work of Olynyk’s teammate Shavlik Randolph.
Amazingly, despite (understandably) being listed as doubtful, Olynyk played through the injury and he even played well. In a Celtics win, Olynyk played 22 minutes and he scored 19 points on 7-10 shooting. He is currently averaging 10.2 points per game this season.
