Few athletes in the history of sports have been as polarizing as Kobe Bryant. As one of the GOATs (greatest of all time) in basketball, he never had nearly as much love for him as Michael Jordan or Shaquille O’Neil, but that’s alright – he never needed it. Having as many haters as fans only seemed to drive The Black Mamba, and he always seemed to bring it, both on and off the court.
As reported by ESPN, August 24th has been officially named Kobe Bryant Day in Los Angeles, where Bryant spent his entire professional career scoring an insane amount of points while busting a ghost or two. His 20 seasons seem like they started only yesterday, yet their appears to no limits to what we could say about the legend and his time in front of the world’s eyes.
