Bronny James Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

USC star Bronny James struggled throughout much of his freshman season at the program. But seemingly, that doesn’t mean that there isn’t significant interest around him when it comes to the 2024 NBA Draft.

James, who averaged just 4.8 points per game this past season, officially declared for the 2024 NBA Draft last month while also entering the transfer portal and maintaining his college eligibility.

This means that while an NBA career is on the table for him, it is also possible that he decides to return back to college for another season.

Most assumed that James would have some time to make his eventual decision on the draft. But that may not be the case, as he will have to make a decision on the NBA Draft Combine very shortly.

According to ESPN, Bronny James has received an invite to the 2024 NBA Draft Combine, which he will quickly need to make a big decision on. Those invited to the combine are required to attend in order to be eligible for the draft.

Regardless, this is a pretty huge honor for Bronny considering his freshman season didn’t exactly go to plan whatsoever for him. It could certainly be argued that based on stats alone, there were plenty of other players perhaps more deserving of a combine spot than him.

It’s no secret that LeBron James, Bronny’s dad, wants to play in the NBA with his son before his playing career is done. If Bronny can impress NBA scouts at the combine, LeBron very well may get his wish.
