Bismack Biyombo not only has the greatest name in the NBA, but he also has better rebounding skills than you. The Raptors back-up big fella absolutely balled out of his mind on St. Patrick’s day with 16 points, 25 rebounds and 2 blocks. The 25 rebounds set a franchise record for the Toronto Raptors and will no doubt land Bismack some more playing time, even when Valanciunas is back and healthy. The Raptors eventually knocked off the Pacers by a score of 101-94.
Raptors coach Dwane Casey summed up the performance quite well:
“Bismack’s 25 rebounds. We get one more guy to give us rebounds and we’re in good shape, but he did a helluva job on the boards, a man’s job. We couldn’t buy a bucket. We had some open looks, DeMar struggled a little bit, Kyle struggled a little bit, but we found a way.”
Good for you big fella.
