While Jeremy Schaap was busy lobbing soft balls at Manti Te’o on Friday night, fans of actual sports (and reality, in general) were caught up in a thrilling NBA doubleheader — also airing on ESPN. During halftime of the Mavericks-Thunder game, studio commentator Bill Simmons tossed a zinger in Te’o’s direction, at the expense of the non-factor that is Celtics forward Jeff Green. Michael Wilbon, forever the straight man on the NBA Countdown set, responded in typical Wilbonian fashion.
