Yasiel Puig, rookie phenom outfielder with the streaking Los Angeles Dodgers, added a walk-off home run to his resume today. In the bottom of the tenth inning in a 0-0 tie with the Cincinnati Reds, Puig (who struck out three times on the day) crushed a solo shot to center to give the Dodgers the 1-0 win.
One of my favorite parts about this is the end, with Puig sliding into home and then getting mobbed by his teammates just before Randy Newman’s “I Love L.A.” begins playing.
The best part? Vin Scully.
