After years of falling down in the NBA Draft Lottery, the Minnesota Timberwolves finally snagged the No. 1 overall pick, one that will likely lead them to selecting Kentucky big man Karl-Anthony Towns. One of the few men who actually get a say in that decision is GM Milt Newton, who joined the Twins broadcast team for an awkward interview on Tuesday night.
He was asked by Dick Bremer about their strategy in the first couple rounds versus the other rounds, having to remind Bremer there’s only two rounds, but the most amusing part came when discussing why the No. 1 pick is awesome. He proceeded to make the best argument in NBA history for having the No. 1 pick:
