The Washington Nationals game against the Atlanta Braves was canceled yesterday due to the senseless shooting at the Navy Yard that took the lives of 12 innocent people. The Nationals play only a few blocks from the Navy Yard and decided to show support by wearing Navy caps during warm-ups in the first game of a day-night doubleheader. It’s such a minor thing to do, but it really reminds everyone of the tragic loss of life that happened only one day ago.
Be sure to wear your blue and gold to the game today! #NAVY pic.twitter.com/0Kf5VculJo
