It’s time again to celebrate Friday and enjoy some outright nasty pitches. Every Friday we’ll review the top pitching GIFs of the week, featuring the best heaters and breaking pitches from all around the league.

Anibal Sanchez bounced back against the Yankees yesterday after getting beat up his last time out. He showed off an impressive Changeup, especially this one to Brian McCann that has lustful late bite to it.

Sure, there are many who can command their heater well, but seeing this Jacob deGrom Fastball hit a catcher’s mitt on the exact outside corner of the plate is hard to beat. Especially at 96 MPH.

They call him the best pitcher in baseball for a reason. Clayton Kershaw throws some mean pitches in his repertoire, including this Slider than induces a poor swing from Brandon Crawford. There’s so much movement off the plate, it’s unfair.

Aroldis Chapman was on point Tuesday night as he struck out all three batters he faced with multiple 100 MPH+ pitches. Here he presented a blazing Fastball near the shoulders of Adam Lind, leading to a very uncomfortable swing from the Brewer’s first baseman.

He may be as inconsistent as they come, but Justin Masterson’s side-arm delivery can make for some incredibly lively pitches. Here he gets Ryan Lavarnway with a nasty Slider off the plate that just keeps going.
