Major League Baseball is supposed to be enjoyed by all people regardless of gender. As a result, the latest edition of the MLB The Show video game will have a way for fans to play as a female player.
MLB The Show’s Road to The Show mode allows players to play as a fictional character trying to make it to the majors – a dream of any baseball fan. And now, for the first time ever, the game will allow people to play as a female player trying to live out her baseball dreams.
“Everyone has Major League dreams. Now it’s your time to unlock them. Announcing Road to The Show: Women Pave Their Way, a new way to play @MLBTheShow’s Road to The Show mode as a female player!” Major League Baseball announced in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.
While no women have ever appeared in Major League Baseball, there is no prohibition on women playing in the big leagues. Now, the new video game allows girls the chance to dream of becoming the first woman ever to make it to make it to The Show.
MLB The Show 24 is set to release on March 19.
