The Los Angeles Angels played the perfect prank on their ace Garrett Richards.
The first part of the prank came when Richards, along with teammates Mike Trout, Jered Weaver, C.J. Cron and Kole Calhoun were approached by a woman claiming she was planning on breaking up with her boyfriend at dinner that night. She asked Richards for advice on how to do it, and he said to just “give it to him straight”.
Later, a man excitedly came over to the table and told the group he wanted to propose to his girlfriend and wanted Richards to bring the ring over, as his girlfriend is a HUGE fan. Richards brought the ring over, but things got awkward when he saw the girlfriend is the same woman who said she was breaking up with her boyfriend earlier that night.
