In the first inning of Tuesday night’s game between the Detroit Tigers and the Chicago Cubs, Miguel Cabrera improbably lost his glove while trying to field a pickoff attempt from Anibal Sanchez.
The pickoff was more or less on the money but Miggy didn’t even have his glove on when Sanchez rifled the ball his way, so the ball sailed past him as he tried to throw his glove at the ball to make the out. Luckily, the ball rolled right back to Cabrera and he was able to throw out Dexter Fowler with ease.
