Detroit Tigers’ pitcher Max Scherzer recorded his 12th victory of the season Friday night, as he struck out nine batters and led the Tigers to a 6-3 victory in Tampa Bay. In 16 starts Scherzer has been impressive boasting with a (12-0) record, 131 strikeouts/25 walks and a 3.10 ERA. Obviously, this guy should be headed to New York next month for the midsummer classic.
***Became the first starting pitcher to win 12 consecutive decisions to begin a season in 27 years
