LaTroy Hawkins of the Mets took a comebacker from Jerry Hairston of the Dodgers directly in a place where no man hopes to ever have to be hit. The incident occurred during the 8th inning of the Dodgers 5-4 win over the Mets in extra innings. LaTroy was ‘fine’ following the direct shot, but took to Twitter after the game to let folks know that it was truly a direct hit.
