Jon Stewart is a pretty big Mets fan so he had to be pretty thrilled to have Mets pitcher Matt Harvey on the ‘Daily Show’ Thursday night.
Harvey got the interview off to a stellar start by walking out with a very thoughtful gift; a custom Mets jersey bearing Stewart’s name.
For his part, Stewart returned the favor by setting up an amazing arm rest for Harvey’s right arm.
It’s hard to fault Stewart for making his guest as comfortable as humanly possible. After all, Stewart is leaving the “Daily Show” at some point this year and he’s going to have some time to watch his favorite team and their star pitcher in the near future.
As Stewart aptly put it to his guest:
“You know, I’m leaving the show. You’re all I’ve got left.”
