AL Rookie Of the Year – Steven Souza Jr., OF, Tampa Bay Rays
Unlike the NL, there haven’t been any standouts thus far in the AL Rookie Of the Year race. As of today, Steven Souza Jr. gets the nod mostly because he leads AL rookies in homers (14) and has 20 or more games played than any other candidate. If he doesn’t improve his low batting average (.215) and cut down on the strikeouts, it wouldn’t be a surprise if the guys below overtake him sooner rather than later.
Honorable Mentions: Joey Butler, Devon Travis, Carlos Correa, Mark Canha
