Considering we’re only a few days into the long MLB season, I’m going to refrain from calling this diving catch that Giancarlo Stanton made on Wednesday a ‘Defensive Play of the Year candidate.’
But, with that being said, it was still pretty damn nice.
The Marlins outfielder laid out for the grab in the fourth inning against the Braves, then popped up and gunned the ball back into the infield to finish off the spectacular double play. Oh how we missed you, Giancarlo.
